KISS ME, KILL YOU - ROSES FOR REASON EP CD REVIEW

Although ROSES FOR REASON play a cut above your normal scream-mo in music ability, it is the extended instrumental bridges and flourishes that make the present lineup, born out of chaos, so interesting to listen to. The reason for this listenablity is that four out of the five members are seasoned from being in other bands. Quinn Haase, lead vocals/screamer, and Justin Beeson, 2nd lead guitar, are formally from POPULATION ZERO. Pete Ali, bass, and Danny Payne, drums, hail from WINTERS DEEP. Justin Timm, on first lead is nibble enough to hold first chair. All the songs, while different, flow together and give the CD a 'concept' feel that ends on a somewhat mellow tone, well, mellow for scream-mo. - PT ROTHSCHILD
