3808 ROCKS ALOHA J’S
Temecula, CA – The night before I went to Old Town for the candlelight vigil of Shaun Vilan’s family, extended family, and friends to remember his untimely death, Aloha J’s threw a benefit show for Little ‘D’, Shaun’s now nine year old son. Again this adventure started with a phone call but as luck and the ‘force’ would have it, I was right across the street when the call came in about the upcoming show in a few hours. I finished my assignment and popped in to see the band.

CAN YOU SAY FRESH WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL?
Temecula, CA – OK, so just let me say that the use of double entendre titles is perfectly allowed in this context for two reasons. The first is that there is a brand spanking new deli restaurant open in the outer rim of the mall on the Chipotle side named the Spicy Pickle. I tried the title on the spicy ‘hostess’ and she giggled. The second is the sub-title is found inside the menu just under the ‘Salads’ listing.

“What do you want your life to be about?”
This was a question that I was posed with a couple weeks ago after viewing the recently released featured film To Save A Life. The movie, despite its lack of advertising and low budget, has grossed over $3 million in just the past couple weeks (which is very impressive for an independent film that is only released in 441 theatres nationwide).

A OUTSIDE VIEW TO AN INSIDE DRAIN
Temecula, CA – It’s hard to fathom as I look at the peaceful lights of the valley floor, that babies and young kids are being force-fed vaccinations that will cripple them, or at least 20% of them; it’s hard to believe that the prime baby-making generation is being steered into fighting as a corporate army to secure foreign interests like S.P.E.C.T.O.R.; and it’s hard to believe that slavery has again been set into motion by the government. Why am I not depressed over this?

THE VAULT’S BAND GOES BEYOND MUSIC
Temecula, CA – By the time you see these photos from a recent rooftop shoot, a press statement may be released telling of a new business alliance with the Vault at ground zero. Aside from the sundry collection of players, this photo assembly took place exactly to the day, one year later, and two floors up from the murder site of Elizabeth Amirian, known to three of the group as their friend Bipsy. A ‘tip the Bip’ call-back.
